Sony HDD Camcorders with Super Night Shot Plus
-We use Sony DCR-SR45 Camcorders because they specialize in Super NightShot Plus. This allows us to record in 0 lux, or perfect darkness. These camcorders also make it very easy to record, store, review, and burn evidence caught to DVD.
Sony InfoLithium Extended Batteries
-We use high performance, long life batteries in our cameras for long investigations. Maximum battery power 10.5 hours per charge. Since MPIS doesn't have to stop to change tapes or batteries, we're prepared to not miss a thing.
4 Channel DVR System
-This is the DVR System we use on our investigations. The cameras feature 1/3" Sony Super HAD CCD, 540 lines, 42 IR LEDs that provide enough IR to see over 105 ft in total darkness.
Infrared Illuminators
-We use these infrared or IR light sources to brighten the areas under investigation. When turned on, these devices can only be detected through the sight of our camcorders. Much like the infrared lights in your television remotes, they are invisible to the naked eye.
Kodak EasyShare C182 Camera
-These 12 megapixel cameras work great taking daytime and night photos on investigations. The high resolution allows us to zoom in the analyze photo evidence.
822-A EMF Detector
-This device measures electromagnetic waves surrounding electrical wires, junction boxes, and even spirits. When in the presence of a source of energy, the EMF detector will increase. Once we've taken a base reading of a location, we can analyze any fluctuations to determine if we're in the presence of a spirit.
KII Meter
-This is another device used for measuring electromagnetic energy. The KII will sense fluctuations in the magnetic fields and respond by lighting up. The higher the magnetic field, the more lights that illuminate. It may be possible to communicate with spirits by asking questions and asking them to light up the device once for a yes, twice for a no and so on.
Mel-8704R ProNavigator
-This device can measure both EMF fluctuations and ambient temperature simultaneously. When arriving at a location, MPIS conducts a complete EMF and temperature sweep of the entire location to that we may document any changes throughout the night. It is believed that as a spirit draws energy from it's surroundings, the temperature may drop causing a "cold-spot." The Mel Meter uses a fast response type "K" thermocouple to detect these changes. This device also has a night vision safe, high intensity red flashlight and red back light and glow in the dark push buttons.
Ovilus X -MPIS uses the new Ovilus X as an experimental device while investigating, It is an instrumental transcommunication device used to make contact with spirits. It is said the sensors in the device can easily be manipulated by spiritual energy to manifest human speech. This is a very high tech piece of equipment that is also a hand held computer. It features 8 different modes such as dictionary, phonetic, reverse, touch, energy, and white noise.
Olympus Digital Voice Recorders
-These digital voice recorders can pick up frequencies that are beyond human hearing. It is said that EVPs, or electronic voice phenomenon, are the voice from the spirit world, sometimes inaudible by the human ear. During EVP sessions, we ask questions and wait 10-30 seconds for a response. When we review the recordings, there have been voices on our devices that we could not hear at the time of the investigation.
Cobra MicroTalk CXT Series Walkies
-These walkies allow us to communicate while investigating. If a group hears an unexplained noise, we will radio to the other team to see if they caused the noise or heard it as well. They also aid in equipment set up, adjusting the DVR System Cams.
Motion Sensor Lights
-These motion sensors come in handy by capturing movement while on investigations. We have set them up in hallways, stages, and other walkways to signal our cameras that something is in the area.
